Mike’s most inspiring moments come when he is applying his commercial construction experience and expertise in building efficiency to his clients’ residential creations. His passion for mechanical engineering and aptitude for leadership began at the University of Southern California, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor of sciences in mechanical engineering, and continued with McCarthy Building Companies in Newport Beach. Today, he is a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design & Construction, and has led two construction teams to achieve the LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. He currently resides in Seal Beach with his wife, Anna, and their Maine coon cat Sofia.
